Submitting statements about your job

The most significant contribution you can make to this website is to submit a story about your work experiences. This could be about an incident or event that ocurred at work, or simply how you feel about your job, your boss, your co-workers, your customers, or whatever. It could be a rant about how you hate your job or what is stressing you out, no matter how big or small it might seem. Or it could be a reason why you like your job. We all have slightly different experiences, but so many of us are facing the same type of issues. Share your work experiences with us.

Write safely

• Do not identify yourself by using your real name.
• Do not identify your employer, but feel free to indicate what type of work you do.
• Do not positively identify the people in your story. Although you can probably use real names if the rest of your story is sufficiently vague that nobody can figure out who the real people in your story are.

Allowed

• Language: If it makes you feel better, you may use profanity. Remember that other users may flag your content as 'offensive' if you go overboard, but at least 2 users must find your submission offensive before it will be removed.

Not Allowed

Any of the following will result in your submission being removed, and repeat-offenders may be banned:

• abusive language directed toward another Rate My Workday user,
• serious threats of violence against another person,
• discriminatory comments (eg. racist, religious, or sexist prejudice),
• solicitation of business (spam, off-topic advertising, etc)**

** you may include links to other websites or products that can help people cope with stress, as long as it isn't considered too pervasive and 'spammy'.
